Making Men’s Skincare Easier to Enter

Created in partnership with Zambezi, Polished by Dr. Lancer translated dermatologist Dr. Harold Lancer’s skincare expertise into a direct, approachable product line developed specifically for men.

The challenge was not simply introducing another premium skincare brand. The identity and digital experience needed to reduce the complexity often associated with skincare, communicate product purpose quickly, and give customers a clear path from learning about the regimen to completing a purchase.

A System Built Around Clarity

The brand system paired clinical silver packaging with high-visibility orange accents, creating a recognizable shelf presence without relying on conventional masculine cues. Condensed typography, direct product naming, and a restrained black, gray, and orange palette gave the line a practical, performance-oriented character.

That same visual language extended into the e-commerce experience. Product education, editorial content, brand storytelling, and shopping tools were organized through generous white space and a consistent hierarchy. From the homepage through product details and checkout, the interface kept the focus on what each product does and what the customer should do next.

From Expertise to an Everyday Routine

Polished transformed Dr. Lancer’s established authority into a focused consumer brand that could function across packaging, photography, editorial content, and commerce. The work balanced clinical credibility with the directness required to reach men who may not already have an established skincare routine.

Rather than overwhelming customers with technical language or a large product catalog, the experience presented a compact system with clear benefits, recognizable packaging, and a straightforward purchase journey. The result was a cohesive foundation for introducing the brand and supporting it across both physical and digital touchpoints.
